Biography

Timothy “Tim” Murr joins the Wise Carter firm from Perry, Murr, Teel & Koenenn Attorneys, where he served as the managing partner for the last 30 years. He has a developed chancery practice including estate and probate law, estate planning and elder law, estate litigation and will contests, trust and trust litigation, and conservatorships and guardianship.

A great addition to the firm, Tim hopes to enhance the chancery practice at Wise Carter and continue the growth of the firm. Tim has a deep passion for assisting the elderly and veterans which has overflowed into his legal career. He actively strives to be a servant leader and it exudes in his work.

Murr’s father’s active-duty service moved him and his family all over the country. Finding a home here in Mississippi, he obtained his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law, where he was the Executive Editor for the Law Review. Murr has been happily married to his wife for 44 years and has two children and five grandchildren. Tim and Wife are members of First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport (PCA), where Tim serves as an Elder and Trustee.
